Sh2-132 THE LION NEBULA

Sharpless 132, The Lion Nebula, is an emission nebula in the constellation Cepheus and lies some 10000 light years away in the Arm of Perseus along our Milky Way. The stars responsible for ionizing its gases are very hot and massive, including two Wolf-Rayet stars.our galaxy, in a rich Milky Way field full of interesting stars and deep sky objects.

RGB images using an IDAS LPS-LP2 filter, 70x 180 sec
