NGC 7000 - NORTH AMERICA NEBULA

North America Nebula, NGC 7000, approx 1600 light years from the Earth, is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, close to Deneb (the tail of the swan and its brightest star). The remarkable shape of the nebula resembles that of the continent of North America, complete with a prominent Gulf of Mexico.

Ha-OIII images captured using an Optolong L-eNhance filter, 35x 300 sec (gain 150 - offset 50)
RGB images using an IDAS LPS-LP2 filter, 80x 120 sec (gain 90 - offset 65)
Total exposure: ~ 5,5 hours
