WIZARD NEBULA

The Wizard Nebula is located in the constellation Cepheus and is approximately 8000 light years away. It is a young open cluster with the gas an dust making up the Wizard. The gas and dust spans about 150 light years across.
Although the nebula may last only a few million years, some of the stars being formed may outlive our Sun.

Canon 40D colour + IDAS LPS2 (light pollution) filter - exposure 20 x 360sec (2h)
Canon 40D mono (bayer matrix removed) IDAS LPS2 (light pollution) filter - exposure - 58 x 360 sec ~(6h) total ~8 hours
